Scouts Needed (Service hours opportunity):

Scouts are needed to help with The Community First Disability Rights Rally (click here for flyer).  Mayors from both Bossier and Shreveport will be there as well as some entertainers. They are hoping to get county singer Trace Adkins to come and perform. It will be held at the State Fair Grounds on Saturday, March 12th.  There will be free food and drink.  Anyone willing to help needs to contact Charles Williamson(click here for email) or Jackie Parsons at 671-8131.  It's always good to be willing to help others even if you don't need the service hours.  Please respond ASAP so that other arrangements can be made in case we don't have enough people to help them.

USS Kidd Information below.  All documents and money must be turned in Monday, January 17, 2011 at the Troop Meeting.  The USS Kidd overnight field trip is planned for February 12, 2011.  More information to follow.

John Odom will be conducting two Citizenship in the World workshops this fall for all boys in Troop 10 wanting to earn the merit badge. Participants should plan to attend both sessions.   The dates for the sessions will be:

Sunday, September 19, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Sunday, October 3, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Any boys wanting to be in the classes should notify Johnette McCrery at johnette43@gmail.com by Monday, September 6.  She will be assisting Mr. Odom with the workshops.  All participants will receive information on the meeting locations and work to be completed ahead of each class.  In the meantime, all boys participating should get the merit badge book and begin reading it.
