Altar Servers are very important to St. Pius X Parish
- Should you carry the cross if you are a first year altar server?
- Should I attend the refresher courses?
- Who attended the altar server training on Sunday September 21?
- Is there a calendar for the altar servers?
- How can I serve for the Bishop.
Should you carry the cross if you are a first year altar server?
NO. I have asked our first year servers to be patient and wait the
fullyear. The cross is very heavy and often the altar servers are not quite
tall enough for the task.
Should I attend the refresher courses?
Yes there are only two refresher courses a year and they are pertinient to
the life of this ministry. Even if there are no updates this time gives us
an opportunity to answer questions, gather as friends in Christ and make
sure everyone is on the same page.
Who attended the altar server training on Sunday September 21?
The real question should be who enjoyed pizza with their friends? Here is
the list of who signed in-Nicholas Storms, Dillon Mrdeza, Patrick Van Camp,
Owen Smith, Kris Hoffa, Austin fath, Megan Hatton, Jacob Huber, Kelsey
Reddy, Joe Kessler, Amanda Loftin, Ashley Sullivan, Brook Waun. I thank all
of you for coming and enjoying pizza with me.

How can I serve for the Bishop.
Altar servers that are chosen to serve for the Bishop are those servers that
attend important events such as the refresher courses and the special Altar
Server Mass of Appreciation. After all these events are for your benefit!
It is those altar servers that sacrifice their time over and above their
weekend obligation who deserve the priviledged opportunity to serve for a
Bishop.
