FAQ
Do I need to bring my own basketball? No, we have plenty of indoor and outdoor boys, girls and youth size basketballs. We do supply Gatorade, ice water and cups, but it is always a good idea to bring your own drink. Do boys and girls play together? Boys and girls play together for 3-on-3 games and 5-on-5 games. (note: see how the grades are grouped) They are separate for the one-on-one and foul shooting competitions. They are also separate for improvement stations. Will I be in the same improvement station group as my friends? Probably, stations groups are set up by grade and gender. For example, 6th grade boys would be one group and 6th grade girls another. Any boy or girl going into 4th grade through 9th grade is welcome regardless of what town they live in. We get players from at least 4 or 5 different surrounding towns. How are the grades grouped together for games? We have an NBA division for grades 7, 8, and 9. Then there is a College division for grades 4,5,and 6. Yes, we have our own insurance which kicks in when your insurance runs out. Is there still camp if it rains? Yes. We use the courts inside and outside at the Black River Middle School. Camp goes on whether it is rain or shine though we do make adjustments to our daily schedule in the event of rain. What if my child does not know how to play basketball? We will teach them!! That is what our camp is all about. Go to our forms page, download the registration form and mail it in. When is the deadline to register by? The first day of camp, however the camps do fill up so the sooner you register the better. Where is drop off and pick up? In the back of the school by the black top. Please do not drop off or pick up in the front of the school or go in through the front of the school. |
