About SAGE

S.A.G.E. - Shenendehowa Advocates for Gifted Education is a non-profit group dedicated to the needs of gifted children in the Shenendehowa School District.

We serve to inform and educate our community about gifted children through research, meetings, public speaking, parented nights and newsletters.

We work to stay educated about programs in our schools and bring new research to the attention of our educators when needed.  In addition to educating the community, we serve as a parent support network for parents of gifted children. SAGE also sponsors the very popular Saturday Scholars program each year; an enrichment program designed to provide hands-on challenges for gifted children in the Capital District.

Get involved with SAGE in any number of ways:

Join our membership and receive up-to-date info and notices about gifted education.

Volunteer a small amount time by:

serving on our board or committees

         working on research and/or legislation

coordinating people to speak at our meetings

         generating publicity

assisting with Saturday Scholars and/or Science Night programs.

serving as an information representative at your school to help get SAGE
news out to parents of gifted kids.

Attend SAGE meetings and/or school board meetings and educate yourself as
well as educate us about what you want for your gifted children.
