Our AFT Charter Member Packets are here and will be distributed by your
Executive Board and Building Employee Reps during the next week. If you are
an OSEA member you will receive your packet soon. If you are not a member
you will have the opportunity to sign a membership card and receive a packet
at a later date. Remember just because you pay union dues that doesn't mean
you are an OSEA member. You have to actually sign a membership card. There
are a lot of great member benefits available to all OSEA members so be
looking for your packet.

Did you know your chapters officers have established two important
committee's which meet with both the superintendent and personnel department
head to discuss union concerns.These monthly meeting provide an opportunity
for your chapter officers to address classified concerns in a positive and
proactive manner. If you have questions or items you would like them to
discuss with these administrators please feel free to contact your Chapter
President to discuss it with them.

Chapter meetings are usually held the first Tuesday of every month for the
months of September through June. The chapter President will always send out
a district wide e-mail to the classified department listing exact times and
locations. If you do not have a district e-mail account please see your
building rep or call your chapter officers.
