Student PoliciesStudent Responsibilities: - Show respect for all adults and peers. Address adults with respect (Mr., Mrs., Miss). - Be on time for class and prepared to learn (i.e. completed assignments, sharpened pencils, all required books and supplies). - Students arriving at HCH before school begins are to stay in the lunchroom until 8:55 A.M.. - Give your attention to God when we are praying and be respectful (hand over heart) during the Pledge of Allegiance. - Participate willingly in classes and help with all clean-up. - Do not leave the room without the teacher’s permission. - Be in class or study hall (or playroom for pre-school) at all times while on campus, with the exception of lunch time. Do not loiter in the hallways or outside. Students may not leave campus without permission. - Food and drink are allowed in the lunchroom at lunch time only. No gum. - No running in the building, change classes quietly, and be watchful of younger children. - Study hall is for working or reading quietly. Be sensitive to other students working. - Do not bring anything to co-op that does not pertain to class or personal studies (i.e. toys, games, cards, balls, electronics, iPods, skateboards, etc.) Laser pointers, knives, and weapons (real or play) are not allowed on campus. - Cell phones are to be turned off before entering the building and remain off until you leave for the day. - Students may not be in the balcony at any time. Students may not be on the third floor unless they are attending a class or are accompanied by a parent or teacher to set-up or restore a classroom. - Students may not be in the sanctuary unless they are attending a class. Students may not be on the stage or handle any FIAC equipment in the sanctuary (instruments, microphones, props, etc.). - All sound equipment, electronics, instruments, overheads, - Show respect for church property. You will be held accountable for any damages caused by your actions. - Elevators are off limits. Do not lean, drop objects over, or play around the light wells. - Students are to dress modestly. Skirts and dresses must be knee length. Halter tops, shirts that reveal the midriff or cleavage, off-the-shoulder tops, tops with narrow straps, short shorts and low riding pants that reveal underwear are NOT allowed. Clothing with graphics or writing should be non-offensive. Sunglasses and hats may not be worn inside the building. Failure to comply with student policies will jeopardize your privilege to participate in the HCH program. |
