Contacting HCH on Mondays: Do NOT call the church. The HCH cell # is 253-906-8192. We will return your call ASAP.
Emergency Procedures: Teachers will be instructed in fire safety and walk their class through the escape plan. If alarm sounds, all children should be evacuated to upper parking lot away from the building. Children are to remain with their teacher. A staff member will notify teachers when it is safe to re-enter the building. Should we be unable to enter the building, teachers will remain with their students until parents pick them up. In the event of an earthquake, everyone should go under a table and assume the duck and cover position, staying away from windows.
Lunch: Lunch and snacks are only to be eaten in Fellowship Hall (room 109) during lunch time, 12:20-12:50. Do not bring raisins or juices that stain. Parents are responsible to make sure their children clean up after themselves. We will also have prayer and Pledge of Allegiance during this time.
Parking: HCH parking is on the lower lot. If this lot is full, use the lower level of the upper lot. Use the lower level entries into the building only.
Snow Days: If Peninsula School District is closed or delayed, co-op classes will be canceled. Do NOT call the church for information. School closures are announced on television and radio stations (570am). The HCH Web site will also contain emergency closure information.
Baby Care: Babies need to stay in the nursery. They are not allowed in the classrooms at any time. Diaper changing should only be done in the nursery. Feeding and nursing should only be done in the nursery or lunchroom.
Fundraising: Students may bring items to sell at co-op only if they are sold to support a non-profit fundraising event or mission trip. All items must be cleared by the Board.
Yearbook: Each year the co-op puts together a yearbook with photos of each class and family.
Visitors: Every visitor must sign in at the board table and wear a name tag.
