2010 tournament - corrections and comments -
Question 11-10 - due to an ommission of parentheses which one VERY
ASTUTE young man noticed and alerted us to, this equation is equivalent to
(3t/2) + 2 and as such, the probability is 23:24 (when "t" represents the
time lapse from midnight to the time of day when the tide is measured) which
we accepted.
Question 12-13 - scorers voted to accept 39.27% however, this is not
actually correct in that all percentages, in decimal form (which "to the
nearest hundredth refers to) are hundredths values. 39.27 % is .3927 which is
to the nearest ten thousandth, not the nearest hundredth as requested by the
question. Be aware that another group of scorers another year may not be so
lenient.
MC-6 - again due to a misprint the correct answer is E.
     Team-11 - The correct answer is 5.
